While much has changed in the 146 years since Royersford Baptist Church was established, our core values remain the same. We are committed to following Jesus–that means loving God and our neighbors with all of our heart, soul, and mind. Our faith compels us to care for the least of these in our community and in the world. Over the years that has taken different forms; providing relief after a devastating flood hit the area, helping to form Project Outreach to feed hungry families, hosting various community groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Girl Scouts, and providing housing and food assistance to community members in need. We also enjoy participating in community days, hosting elections, being a place where high schoolers can safely wait for their ride home, and welcoming all in our community.

As we examined the land entrusted to our care and as we continue to witness increased housing insecurity in our area, we knew we were being called to something new in our little corner of the world. We believe, as scripture says, “everyone shall live under their own vine and fig tree.” Everyone deserves a safe, affordable home. This is a new way that we are answering the call to care for our neighbors, just as we’ve been doing for the last 146 years. We are delighted to find a partner in Mission First to help bring this much needed project to fruition as we continue to respond to the commandment to love our neighbors.
